Make Up Tests

Make Up Tests are available to Sheridan students who have missed an in-class exam, quiz, or assignment for reasons beyond their control. Make up test procedures are different for students registered with Accessible Learning Services

What to Bring

Be prepared to provide the Assessment Centre staff with the FIRST AND LAST NAME of the instructor for whom you are writing the test.

Prior to writing your test, you must present a valid photo ID as well as a proof of payment (please see below for instructions on making a payment).

You will be asked to leave all belongings and materials not permitted during your exam in the designated areas in the Assessment Centre. CELL PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE.


The cost associated with writing an exam, assignment, or quiz at one of Sheridan’s Assessment Centres is $25 per exam, assignment, or quiz. Payments are to be made by a debit card only. Cash and credit cards will not be accepted.

Payment Locations

Davis Campus

Payments are to be made by debit only directly at the Assessment Centre, room B117 during regular business hours on the day of your test.

Hazel McCallion Campus (HMC)

Payments are to be made directly at the Assessment Centre, room A246 during regular business hours on the day of your test.

Booking an Appointment

It is imperative that you observe the deadline outlined by your instructor prior to making an appointment. Any extensions to your test deadline must be approved and communicated by your instructor to the Assessment Centre staff.

Booking Exams through OntarioLearn

OntarioLearn students should arrange their exams by calling 905-459-7533, ext. 2690.

What to bring: Photo ID

Fee for OntarioLearn exams (ALS and non-ALS): $75 as of September 1, 2014.

Continuing Education Students

If you are a Continuing Education student and have missed an in-class test, assignment, or quiz:
  1. Approval must be granted by your instructor to complete your test/assignment/quiz on a day other than the original test date.
  2. Once approval has been granted, please contact the Continuing Education department to make arrangements:
