I am currently working part-time, but will be attending Ryerson University for the Bachelor of Commerce Program-Business Management-Marketing Management Major this fall.
The co-op experience through Sheridan was invaluable. My co-op placement took place at Hewlett Packard (HP). I am still in direct contact with my manager who is constantly reminding me that I always have a place at HP.
The professors from my very last semester Mary Kanko, Jim Deakin, Francine Bourduas and David Nowell all had an equal impact on my life. All had outstanding knowledge, careers and experience in the business world. I was fortunate enough to be able to learn from such world class professors. A special thanks goes to Mike McEleny as well. Mike was one of my first year professors who I was fortunate to have a few more times during my Sheridan career. With Mike, I found my passion for marketing and it was his inspiration that lead me to marketing path I am on now.
Sheridan students should definitely take advantage of the co-op program. Not only do you gain real-world experience, make lots of money, and have a leg up on the competition after you graduate, you also get teamed up with students in the co-op program. These students seem to be more focused and dedicated to their studies and it reflects heavily in your grades.”
