Counselling is available to assist students in building solutions to a wide variety of issues. Students have commonly sought counselling for issues such as:

  • Sleep disturbances
  • Doing better in your courses
  • Time management, learning strategies
  • Homesickness and transition to Sheridan
  • Financial problems
  • Feelings of depression or sadness

Counselling Services are available to assist currently registered students achieve their personal and academic goals. Using a solution-focused approach, professional counsellors can aid students in resolving any issues affecting their progress or success at Sheridan. All services are provided free of charge in a respectful, sensitive, private and confidential basis at a drop-in, individual or group session.  If you have issues that require long-term support, we can refer you to other agencies or resources that may better meet your needs.
