Donna Funday Golden - Employment Consultant (Davis Campus) Donna has been highly praised for her commitment and passion to working closely with students in one-on-one consultations and in the classroom, with the ability to teach, empower and inspire students. She holds an Honours degree in English and Psychology, from the University of Waterloo, a Career and Work Counsellor Diploma and a Certificate in Life Skills 1 and 2 from George Brown College. Donna is qualified as a Personality Dimensions Facilitator. She has extensive expertise in college environments, educating students in job search techniques and employment strategies. You may have already met Donna as she has been with Sheridan College since 2005; before that Donna has worked with George Brown College, Seneca College and Humber College. Jean Simpson - Employment Consultant (Davis Campus) Jean has been with Sheridan College in a variety of employment advisement capacities. She has worked successfully with college/university students, internationally trained, second career, etc. Since Jean entered the field of employment advisement, she has been distinguished for consistently providing a learning setting that is supportive, engaging and holistic. Jean has taught courses in human resources, career development, healthcare, youth and leadership before joining the career services team. She has worked professionally in Human Resources, Organizational Development for over fifteen years. She was nominated for a “Premier’s Award for Teaching Excellence”. Jean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Waterloo, a Diploma in Adult Learning with O.I.S.E., University of Toronto, certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument, and True Colours. Jean’s mission is to educate and inspire growth, engage in constructive feedback with ongoing illustrations of best practice in achieving current and future career/employment goals with all Sheridan College students. Christina Wiggins - Employment Consultant (Trafalgar Campus) Christina has been helping people to find meaningful and rewarding employment for well over a decade. She has successfully worked with youth, persons with disabilities, experienced workers, new Canadians, and internationally trained professionals. She has assisted each person with entering the work force at a level that reflected their skills, experience, education, and training. Christina has delivered presentations at national conferences on a variety of job search topics and has been an instructor at George Brown College and Mohawk College in their career and employment part-time studies programs. Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Career and Work Counselling from George Brown College. She is a certified Job Finding Club Facilitator and Life Skills Coach and is qualified to administer and interpret several assessment tools including Personality Dimensions and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Prior to starting her career in the employment service sector, Christina worked in the television industry (pre-production, distribution) as well as the music industry (marketing).
