Employment Resource Centre

The Resource information Centre, funded by Employment Ontario, offers a variety of services and resources to assist you in successfully reconnecting with the labour market. No appointment is necessary and visitors can access the Resource and Information Centre Monday to Friday 8:30a.m. - 4:30pm.

When you first arrive at the Centre, our Resource Information staff will greet you and ask you to provide some brief information on your current employment situation. You will be given information about  all of the services and resources available to assist you.

Some of the resources you can expect to find in the Centre include:

  • Resume & cover letter assistance in the form of templates
  • How to books and one to one assistance
  • Access to local job postings on our job boards and website
  • One to one job search assistance
  • Access to a variety of career development related clinics and workshops
  • Computers with high speed internet access & full suite MS Office 2007 (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Free phone, fax, printing, photocopying and scanning capabilities
  • Computerized self-assessment tools for career exploration and career decision making
  • Information regarding local training opportunities
  • Information on current government employment service programs
  • Resource material on starting your own business
  • A resource library of 100+ books related to the topic of career development and employment preparation
  • Local industry and business directories
  • College, university & apprenticeship information
  • Interview preparation and tip sheets
  • Access to local and surrounding area newspapers
  • Application centre which is an easy one stop way to collect applications for local employers

The CES  provides Resource Centre support, one to one Employment Counselling, Workshops & Seminars. Our CES team consists of 20 professionals committed to providing individuals within Oakville and Brampton regions with the services and resources required to find employment, make a career change or enter re-training
