In instances where students have concerns about a decision that has been made, and it affects their academic status, they may initiate an academic appeal. An academic appeal is deemed to be an appeal against a decision of Sheridan and not a complaint against a faculty or staff member. An academic appeal must be initiated within 5 business days of receipt or Web display of the grade being appealed. Please email
