Many Voices: A Sheridan Aboriginal Awareness Committee Event
Sheridan’s Aboriginal Awareness Committee is hosting the 3rd annual Many Voices event on September 30 at the Davis Campus. This free event is organized to raise awareness and educate Sheridan students, staff, faculty and members of the community (including Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people) about Aboriginal Peoples’ heritage and culture. Organized by the Sheridan College Aboriginal Awareness Committee, Many Voices will feature Aboriginal musicians, traditional teachings by elders and a variety of workshops.
The event will commence with an opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m. A variety of workshops will be held in the morning. There will be Aboriginal entertainment at lunchtime, outside the cafeteria. Closing ceremonies will be at 1:30 p.m. Look for upcoming notices and flyers. Spread the word; the event is open to the entire Sheridan community. Please join us for a fun and inspirational day.
