MacDonald-Heaslip Hall, Trafalgar Road Campus, Oakville, ON
Sheridan will be hosting TEDxOakville in MacDonald-Heaslip Hall, Friday, October 1st
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxOakville, where x = independently organized TED event. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.
At our TEDxOakville event, TEDTalks, video and live speakers, will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
The value to the community of hosting a local TEDx event is the interaction of ideas of interested people, from varied backgrounds leads to new ideas.
The theme of TEDxOakville will be "Can an individual in Oakville really make a difference and change the world?"
To host the event we will need event organizers, speaker suggestions, website & blog design, marketing, venue, videographers and more.
