Because of the volatility of the markets and the increasing complexity of financial products, employers seek to hire people who are professionally trained in the skills most sought by clients. That’s the kind of training you get from Sheridan’s Banking and Wealth Management Program.

Your coursework covers:

  • Small business financing
  • Consumer lending
  • Investment sales
  • Life insurance
  • Financial planning

Sheridan faculty developed the Banking and Wealth Management Program with input from financial institutions that are potential employers for graduates, as well as with advice from professional organizations such as the Canadian Securities Institute, and ADVOCIS. Our goal is to offer the skills and knowledge most in demand by employers and clients today.

You'll have the opportunity to write professional licensing exams in our classroom including:

  • Exciting new products in the changing financial arena
  • Laws governing this highly regulated industry
  • Ethical considerations in financial planning and wealth management

Because our professors are well-connected in the financial services industry and our program is well-respected in the community, our students have many options open to them for co-op learning.

Additional Costs

The Banking and Wealth Management Program is located at the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, Ontario.

Sheridan is where employers go to find the best professionals. At a time when trust in one’s financial adviser and their organization is more important than ever, employers seek new hires who are thoroughly knowledgeable, ethical and trained in the skills most valued by their clients. Today, as the baby boom generation moves into retirement, more positions are opening up to those trained in banking and wealth management. Likewise, there is an increasing stream of people seeking advice in managing their retirement portfolio. This is a program that offers you enormous potential with employers, such as:

  • Canadian chartered banks
