Personal / professional accomplishments
After completing Computer Science Technology from Sheridan, I joined AECL and stayed with them until I got married in November 2004 and decided to join my husband in the UK.
After seeing the best of Europe and catching up on daytime television, movies and theatre productions from the last decade, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Sameer in March 2006.
I have recently joined the IT department of a UK-based water distributor – Severn Trent Water Ltd.
My short-term academic goal is to become a Sun Certified Java Developer – and I am hoping to find my way up to the Lead Architect position in the next five years.
Share a memory from your days at Sheridan
Sheridan provides an environment where knowledge-thirsty pupils have fair, and more than adequate resources available to excel in their fields of interest. I will always remember the proactive faculty members as facilitators of advancing in a progressive learning environment.
Tell us about a faculty member who made an impact on your life
Victor Ralevich. I couldn’t have asked for better guidance throughout the later years of the program. His continuous encouragement resulted in us staying focused.
Fran Burke always went the extra mile to make sure that every student reached his/her highest potential in the early years of their career. Many thanks to Fran for her extraordinary efforts in the co-op directorate.
What advice would you give a Sheridan student?
Always aim higher than what you intend to achieve in life. Be proactive about creating a social network during your stay at Sheridan.
