Sheridan’s General Arts and Science – Health Profile Program is an ideal program if you know you want to work in health sciences, but are unsure which career path is right for you, or you are currently underprepared for other health sciences programs. Some of the college credits you'll earn are transferable to other Sheridan programs and possibly to programs in other colleges. Prepare for further study by gaining the necessary background knowledge in:
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Anatomy and physiology

You'll also be introduced to a range of possible career paths in the health science field, college life and what the workload is like in a college-level program. There's a strong focus on academic advising to support your success.

Further Learning Opportunities

When you complete the Health Profile, you can transfer to the University Profile, apply to another health-related Sheridan program, or apply to university. The Health Profile will prepare you for further studies in the following Sheridan programs:

  • Practical Nursing
  • Pharmacy Technician
  • Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in either Exercise Science and Health Promotion or Athletic Therapy

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent, including these required courses:

• One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)


or

Mature student status (see 'Admissions' section for details)


APPLICANT SELECTION

Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
